Overview

The Private Bankers major role is managing the customer relationship across the entire product spectrum.
Key aspects are to build profitable wealth management relationships with a portfolio of complex and/or high value clients. Suitable candidates will have a track record of success within financial advisory, investment or private banking environment and an understanding of tax, investment or financial planning.
In the longer term, the focus is on developing a single view of the customer enterprise wide, in order to accurately understand the nature of the customer relationship, and to offer an integrated solution to the customer across all products. Effective partnership within the Private Bank and with our key stakeholders will be critical to achieving our objectives.


Duties:
  • Build profitable wealth management relationships with a portfolio of complex and/or high value clients
  • Maximise income from that portfolio by understanding clients' requirements and increasing the penetration of products to the customer base
  • To act in accordance with the regulatory requirements and standards under the Financial Services Authority (FSA)
  • To be fully aware of the obligations and responsibilities placed on individuals who are registered under the FSA's Approved Person regime, in respect of their role and conduct


Key Accountabilities:
  • Contribute to profit, sales and product targets of the Client Group by selling appropriate wealth management services to the portfolio of clients
  • Become the trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance across the full range of wealth management products, and a consistent, credible and accessible point of contact for clients
  • Increase the penetration of wealth management products within the existing and new client base
  • Expand the size and quality of client base through initiating new relationships, developing existing ones and developing relationships with centres of influence, to increase penetration of wealth management market
  • Work with the Senior Manager to ensure that performance management information is accurately recorded and presented
